Labour lead widens : why?

                         Good Morning

According to the Sunday Times , Labour leads PN and this has widened these past few weeks. I will not question the accuracy of the survey and the fact that the undecided and therefore the " floaters" have increased in numbers,it still remains that this survey shows that Labour is leading.

Why this increase in Labour s lead especially in the past few weeks ?

Has anyone heard one single Labour proposal?

Has anyone turned an eye or stared in awe at any of Labour s propositions ?

Has anyone felt Labour s presence in any of the successes this country has achieved in this legislature

Labour  is leading . Can i say thank you Malta Labour Party for bringing us success in Tourism .

Labour is leading . Thank you Malta Labour Party for giving us your excellent ideas on achieving such successes  in education. For having a record investment in education. For building a new school every year. For increasing opportunities for our children to be able to study abroad. For keeping the stipends. For strengthening university and Mcast. For building a research centre  .
Labour was always there ,silent as ever .Brooding but ready to pounce when things go slightly wrong or ready to throw mud when the opportunity arises to get votes .Labour leads ,but has a horrible record in education . Mintoff era ,and Sant era . Whole generation of students losing out on their careers .

Labour is leading . They were always there helping out with their constructive criticism in getting record number of patients attending Mater Dei , record number of operations, record cataract operation ,record hip operations, record knee operations , record yearly investments in new technology and new medication.Labour  are there giving us continuous healthy advice .Mudslinging when trying to solve delicate issues such as bed shortages and age related problems which also take up beds .Votes are more important than solving patient issues .

The fact is that they lead with absolutely nothing to account for except the fact they have not led for the past 25 year or so. People think that they can bring about change even for the sake of a change in name from MLP instead of PN . People think that nothing will alter the state of the nation . Things taken for granted today , obtained with such sacrifices ,will remain there with a change in government to MLP .

Can we take such a risk ? How has the MLP under Joseph Muscat fared up to now ?  We have a Saviour who promises everything to everyone. Who has The Plan and nobody has ever seen This Plan . Can we take this risk? Can we bear to lose 5 years of hard earned stability .

The fact remains that Labour leads . It has increased its lead . The only plausible reason for this  in our internal conflicts which are affecting the way people view us . Our country has had excellent results in nearly all economic projections and this when things were not so rosy around us . Thanks to these results that we can look forward and plan ahead . We do not plan for austerity measures , our budget is unlikely to include austerity measures not because it is an election budget but because we have results which we are proud of and which enable us to plan for a better future .

Meanwhile labour leads . It avoids any discussion on education and the National Curriculum , it avoid discussion on health matters , it never mentions pension reform ,for labour we do not need any reform in anything because reform means change and in change people grumble and this could hurt Labour s Votes . Labour only enjoys parliamentary stabbing under the guise of Democratic principle ,because this is how you garner votes by projecting yourself as supreme leader .
Can we therefore trust Labour ? Can we really  change the people who we think are incompetent to people who ARE incompetent , hoping that things will remain the same ?

The answer is NO

  1. What the people don't realize is that whatever the Labour Party is babbling about is simply to gain their votes. Which makes me realize that either people don't learn from the past or they are influenced with other countries who are voting just for change.
