Il- Pjan li ma Jaghmel xejn sens !!!

Good afternoon.

Reading Joseph Muscat 's contribution in IT-Torca today leaves me perplexed. He says absolutely nothing. No wonder he adopts this strategy because up till now, whenever he said anything, he got it completely wrong.

So now we have a 'Pjan Li Jaghmel Sens' where his perfect team will get everything perfect if elected in government, where everybody will have the most perfect job -a job for life- where each and every family will have a perfect wage which will cover all expenses and will be able to have a perfect holiday. All government expenses will be perfectly balanced and each cent will be accounted for. Do not worry about water and electricity bills because 'The Malta Labour Party' under Joseph Muscat has the perfect solution. He also has the perfect solution for wages and especially the minimum wage.

A perfect Plan which makes sens for Malta. The only problem is that we have to wait to see this 'Plan li jaghmel sens.' Why all this delay? Can he possibly devise a better  plan  than this Government's view for the progress of our country? I find this very difficult to conceive. The reason being that PN builds its strategy based on years of experience and on hard work but especially on what is needed for you, the individual. We all have our faults and we have made mistakes but Malta has withstood fierce external battering with no help from anyone especially the Malta Labour Party, and Malta has always stood with her head held high. It is common sense therefore that any "Pjan li Jghamel Sens" has to take this new reality into consideration, the financial upheavals, the ever changing european picture, the evolving middle east, the changing roles of world powers and possibility of new emerging ones.

Things have changed drastically and that the situation out there is far from rosy and can still affect our small island. So, please keep your rhetorical dreams to yourself and give us your plans. Only than can we judge you and trust you. This is not a gambling game with people's lives. It is a question of a person and a team, who has the potential of running our country straight into a brick wall with no turning back except after five years; and this, could be too late for you and your children.

People are not stupid. Some will try change for change's sake, but the absolute majority will want tangible proof that our future Prime minister  and his team can deliver and not simple rhetoric.
